Overview

On a black screen, two videos play one above the other as thumbnails. The top video screen recordings of domestic spaces (an empty bed, bathroom, living room) recorded from an online video chat website pairing random users worldwide. These absent residents deliberately leave their webcams on, offering their spaces to be gazed at. The bottom video shows Giorgio Bassil’s face as he watches and waits. Letters addressed to an absent lover appear beside the video.
