Overview
"Denominación de Origen" is the most intimate, human, and exclusive portrait ever made of a Spanish soccer team. This four-episode documentary series opens the doors to a locker room that very few have ever had access to and goes far beyond a team's preparations for the World Cup. The series uncovers the personal stories behind Lamine Yamal, Rodri Hernández, Nico Williams, Pedri González, and Marc Cucurella, among others. Thirty-two players from the national team were interviewed exclusively for the project, and their closest friends and family also participate, offering an intimate look at those who will represent Spain in the 2026 World Cup. Stories that rarely make the headlines and are presented here with unprecedented intimacy. A journey that begins with Luis de la Fuente’s debut, continues with victories in the 2023 Nations League and the 2024 European Championship, and concludes with the team’s qualification for this World Cup.
