The energizing cultural frictions in Christian Bendayán's painting reflect the artist's multiple coexistences with popular (post)modernism in the Amazonian capital of Iquitos. This is once again evident in this new video, which explores—and also pays homage to—three crucial street painters from that "tropical hot" city: "the house of the god of love," in the words of Piero (Julio Walter Guevara Sepúlveda), the first of those interviewed here, who quotes one of the several popular songs that serve as the video's soundtrack.
