Overview
She turned a shoe into a hat or a chop into a headdress: fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli (1890-1973) loved the surreal and the color pink. She came from Rome and managed to make a name for herself as a fashion designer in Paris in the 1930s with her original ideas. She revolutionized the fashion world with her unusual designs.
