Overview
Manuel Jiménez is Bankilal (eldest brother), one of the most respected members of the Tzotsil community in Chiapas. Serving as the link between his compatriots and the spirits and forces that protect the universe, he provides advice and ensures the traditions of their ancestors are passed on to new generations. A colourful glimpse of a hidden reality where millenary Mayan practices mix with Catholic rituals and beliefs.
