With a sound that's cool, sophisticated and uplifting, Shakatak, the leading light of the British jazz-funk scene in the 1980s, plays an elegant, sophisticated and laid-back type of jazz-funk that echoes American bands such as Spyro Gyra and the Brecker Brothers. This Ohne Filter performance was filmed in the band's prime, in October 1985. Tracks include "Dark Is the Night," "Day By Day," "City Rhythm," "Easier Said Than Done" and much more.
