Overview

Thirty-year-old Honma views lying as a necessary survival skill; to get what he wants in this world, he has become talented at telling people what they wish to hear. When he meets Mamoru Ikai at a social event held by his former university club, Honma decides that what he wants now is the beautiful young man who professes to hate him. However, Ikai turns out to be a more challenging conquest than he anticipated. Ikai claims not to understand the human emotions that inspire kind words and tender actions in others. Because he cannot conceive of unconditional love, he is naturally distrustful of anyone who claims to care for him. Yet, when Honma asks for a chance to date him, Ikai agrees to a one-month trial period. In such a short time, it remains to be seen whether Honma's feelings contain any measure of sincerity.
