Overview
When Goyoh Rubiet receives a marriage proposal from Marquess Anthe Betelgeuse, she politely declines since she is already betrothed to her childhood sweetheart, Terrio Alte. However, Terrio no longer reciprocates Goyoh's affections and instead wishes to marry her younger sister, Melisse. Even so, Goyoh presses on, vowing her love to Terrio; consequently, Melisse is sent away to marry Anthe in her stead. This series of events marks the beginning of the end. Years later, Anthe exterminates the Rubiet family, including his own wife. Only Goyoh remains, and she falls victim to Terrio's abuse as he blames her for Melisse's death. With nothing left to live for, Goyoh takes her own life. But in a twist of fate, she awakens in the past, back when she had just received the proposal from Anthe. If she is destined for tragedy no matter whom she chooses, Goyoh would rather those she cares for most find happiness. Resigned, Goyoh takes Anthe's hand, but this marriage that was only a Plan B turns out sweeter than she could have ever imagined. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
