Ryuujin-den Gagamaru tells the story of a lonely Samurai who finds a baby by the road and decides to look for his mother, as he travels through the villages in search of the baby's mother, he discovers that a gang captured her and she had to leave him so that they would not kill him and so our hero samurai goes out in search of this gang to rescue the mother.

In Edo period Japan, a mysterious foreigner washes upon the shore of Shinsengumi-claimed territory. The foreigner is nicknamed "Yankee," and eventually takes a liking to leader Souji Okita.
