ITV Nightly News was a 20 minute newscast broadcast between 8 March 1999 – 1 February 2004 as a late evening news programme in the United Kingdom on the ITV network. It aired daily at 11:00pm, and was broadcast from the ITN studios in London. The launch of ITV Nightly News followed major changes to the scheduling of news programmes on ITV which saw the axing of ITN's highly popular and prestigious News at Ten programme which was replaced with the new flagship ITV Evening News programme to be broadcast at 6.30pm on weekdays. The changes proved to be very unpopular with viewers and due to a decline in ratings, ITV moved its late night bulletin back to 10pm for 3 nights a week and the programme was rebranded as ITV News at Ten in 2000. When the bulletin was relaunched at 10pm, the programme was initially successful, although, ratings gradually declined due to the scheduling of the bulletin as it often did not start at 10pm. The BBC also launched its Ten O'Clock News programme in 2000. The final programme aired on 1 February 2004 and was replaced by the ITV News at 10.30.

This makes the spectator feel as if most of the tv filtres are removed and thus they can almost witness the events with their own eyes and feel directly involved in the social messages brought on by the show. Themes vary: they go from interviews to famous individuals, to trips, to the work of associations or even small everyday realities.

Imus in the Morning is an American radio show hosted by Don Imus on Cumulus Media Networks, and simulcast for television on Fox Business Network. The show originated locally on WNBC radio in New York City in December 1971. In October 1988 the show moved to WFAN when that radio station took over WNBC's dial position following an ownership change. It was later syndicated to 60 other stations across the country by Westwood One, a division of CBS Radio, airing weekdays from 5:30 to 10 am Eastern time. Beginning September 3, 1996, the 6 to 9 am portion was simulcast on the cable television network MSNBC. The show had been broadcast almost every weekday morning for 25 years on radio and 11 years on MSNBC until it was canceled on April 12, 2007 due to controversial comments made on the April 4, 2007 broadcast. The remark resulted in the program's cancellation the following week. The Imus in the Morning program returned to the morning drive on New York radio station WABC on December 3, 2007. From 2007 to August 2009, the show was simulcast on television nationwide on RFD-TV and rebroadcast each evening on RFD HD in high-definition. In the News is a series of two-minute televised video segments that summarized topical news stories for children and pre-teens. The segments were broadcast in the United States on the CBS television network from 1971 until 1986, between Saturday morning animated cartoon programs, alongside features like Schoolhouse Rock and One to Grow On, which aired on competing networks ABC and NBC, respectively. NBC would also go on to produce its own competing version called Ask NBC News. The "micro-series" had its genesis in a series of animated interstitials produced by CBS and Hanna Barbera Productions called In The Know, featuring Josie and the Pussycats narrating educational news segments tailored for children. This was eventually metamorphosed into a more live-action-oriented micro-series produced solely by CBS' news division. In the News segments attempted to explain the essence of complex news stories to children, and to do so in a way that might engage a young audience. Video clips of national or world events and special-interest stories were shown with voice-over narration specifically written with children in mind. Although news stories deemed to be inappropriate for children were not covered on In the News, the series did feature a wide range of then-current events.
