First published in 1934, Tank Tankuro was one of the most famous manga characters during the time, lining up next to Norakuro. He is said to be one of the first roboto ever to appear in Japanese manga and may be the first superhero in manga. He fights villain, Kuro Kabuto, who attacks Japan, and this Kuro Kabuto is famous among Japanese SF fans that it has resemblance to Darth Vader of Star Wars. Tank Tankuro influenced greatly, many manga artists, such as Shigeru Sugiura, Osamu Tezuka, Fujiko Fujio, etc., and is the foundation stone from which many masterpieces of manga art would spring from. The story begins at the Battle of A Baoa Qu, in the last days of the One Year War. As the Federation and Zeon forces clash in the final climactic battle, two men struggle to survive. Eric Blanke, a Zeon mobile suit pilot, watches helplessly as his friends and comrades perish, one after another. Courand Hughes, a squad captain, is helpless to protect his friends and subordinates as they die, one by one. Both men are left terribly scarred by the battle. Two years later: Universal Century 0081. Eric Blanke continues to fight the Federation, alone, and against all odds. He seeks to punish the Earth Federation for its many evils. Within it he discovers the blueprints for a powerful weapon from the past—the ancient messiah named "Gundam." From these blueprints, Flit spends the next several years studying engineering at an Earth Federation base on the Nora space colony and designing the Gundam AGE-1. Seven years later, in A.G. 115, Flit completes the Gundam AGE-1 Normal, just as the UE attack Nora, and make use of it to aid the crew of Federation's battleship "Diva" in evacuating the colony's citizens before it is destroyed. Determined to bring the battle to the U.E. for destroying his home twice, Flit agrees to serve at Diva's mobile suit squad piloting the Gundam. After obtaining enough data and military power to establish a course of action, the crew of Diva and their allies launch a sucessful attack that destroyed the U.E.'s secret fortress in the Ambat asteroid. There they learn that the U.E. are actually the descendants of a supposedly failed human mission sent to colonize Mars, left for dead by the Earth Federation, who formed their own nation on the red planet called Veigan.

After another day of school Seto Magami is walking home with Reito and Koji. However they meet two young women named Necro and Bui Jinga, earlier Mazinger android models who were also created by Juzo Magami and they pick a fight with Seto and Reito, ultimately overpowering them. They leave saying they won't be as merciful as they were. Meanwhile Grace and Shiko encounter their own doppelgangers in the form of Dark G. Dark and Shin Kotetsu who explain their intentions rather than fight. Necro recruits them to form the New Mazinger Army before getting into another brawl with the Mazinger Army. During the battle, Shiko and Shin accidentally fuse together to become Majeeg which became a problem for both sides so they decided to work together. But Majeeg proved to be too powerful for even their combined forces until Seto entered her Astro Mazinger form and after overpowering Majeeg purged the evil from it, freeing Shiko and Shin. Afterwards, both the Mazinger and New Mazinger live on (relatively) good terms.

30 years ago, before the original Kamen Rider were created, Kadowaki Jun was supposed to be used as the original Kamen Rider, but Shocker's plans changed after Hongo escaped. Before he could be awaken, the double riders destroyed the Shocker base and the sleep capsule that Kadowaki was in was buried underneath the ruble of the Shocker base for 30 years.
